Jana Elmir, Proficient High School Teacher
Hello! I am Jana Elmir, a wife and a mother to three beautiful kids. I am a proficient teacher with a passion to educate young kids.
I understand that letting go of our kids little palm and sending them to school can be a pretty daunting experience to the parents just as much to the kids them selves.
I believe that prekindergarten programs play an important role in children’s development and can have a lasting impact on their academic and social success. Here are some reasons why I believe prekindergarten programs are important:
1. Early development: Prekindergarten programs provide a foundation for learning and development at an early age. They can help children develop social, emotional, cognitive, and motor skills that are essential for future academic success.
2. School readiness: Prekindergarten programs can help children prepare for the transition to kindergarten and beyond. They can learn important skills such as following directions, sharing, and taking turns that will be useful in a classroom setting.
3. Language development: Prekindergarten programs can help children develop their language skills, including listening, speaking, and vocabulary. This is especially important for children from non-English speaking backgrounds who may need extra support to develop their language skills.
4. Cognitive development: Prekindergarten programs can help children develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills that will serve them well in future academic and professional pursuits.
5. Social and emotional development: Prekindergarten programs can help children develop social and emotional skills, including empathy, self-regulation, and socialization with peers. These skills are important for children to form positive relationships and interact with others effectively.
6. Equity: Prekindergarten programs can help to level the playing field for children from disadvantaged backgrounds who may not have access to the same resources and opportunities as their peers. Prekindergarten programs can provide an early boost that sets children on the path to academic and social success.
Overall, prekindergarten programs are important for children’s development and can provide a strong foundation for future academic and social success.
